My Perspective on Naturopathic Medicine 🌿

I have always been passionate about preserving nature, and I grew up believing that everything we could possibly need for health and happiness can be found in our natural environment. I first began to appreciate the concept of wholism from the smallest molecular level to the concept of natural systems analysis through the study of organic and biochemistry and environmental sciences from the universities of Manitoba and Winnipeg. The next step academically for me was to then apply this concept to human health in the form of Naturopathic medicine.

Naturopathic medicine is a beautiful medley of modern scientific medical theory applied to ancient forms of traditional medical knowledge.

Education

There are two Naturopathic medical schools in Canada, the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario.  Prior to acceptance into either one of these programs, a student must have a 4 year undergraduate degree from an accredited university, and must have satisfied all pre-medical requirements. For more information, please refer to the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors website: CAND - Common questions
