Dr. Jessica Beatty, ND, is a naturopathic doctor focused on integrative oncology, providing supportive and complementary care for patients living with cancer. Integrative oncology is a unique approach involving the use of natural medicine to augment your conventional oncology team recommendations. Care is taken to avoid negative interactions between the two types of medicine. Integrative oncology is an approach combining the best of both worlds of cancer treatment to support your wellbeing at every stage, from diagnosis and active treatment through to recovery and survivorship.

Educational Background: Dr. Beatty completed her undergraduate degree in pre-medical science at the University of Winnipeg before earning her naturopathic medical degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), Boucher Campus, graduating in 2011. Her advanced clinical training is directly relevant to integrative cancer care and includes Intravenous Therapy, Ozone Therapy, and Loco-Regional Hyperthermic Therapy. She is also certified to provide Intravenous Chelation Therapy, Central Venous Access, and Neural Prolotherapy.
Philosophy of Care: “The symptom you are experiencing is your body’s way of communicating that there is an imbalance. My job is to help navigate the root of that imbalance and help your body achieve wellness.”
Integrative Oncology at Via Natural Medicine: Integrative oncology combines evidence-informed natural medicine with conventional cancer care. Dr. Beatty’s role is supportive and complementary. She does not replace the care of your medical oncologist or surgical team. She works alongside it. Her focus is on supporting your strength, comfort, and quality of life during conventional treatment, and on helping you feel as well as possible through recovery.
A central part of her practice is safety. She reviews potential interactions between natural products and your conventional treatment, so that any supportive therapies you use are appropriate and do not interfere with your medical care.
A Personalized, Test-Informed Approach: Dr. Beatty tailors supportive care to the individual rather than applying a single protocol. Where appropriate, she uses advanced testing to personalize her recommendations, including individualized blood work, circulating tumour cell DNA testing, and genetic chemosensitivity assessment through DATAR Labs. This test-informed approach lets supportive care be matched to each patient’s specific situation.
Supportive Therapies: Working alongside conventional treatment, Dr. Beatty offers a range of supportive therapies, including but not limited to:
- Personalized dietary and nutritional strategies
- Counselling on drug, nutrient, and herbal interactions
- Intravenous therapies, including but not limited to high-dose vitamin C, artesunate, nutritional repletion, and ozone (Major autohemotherapy)
- European mistletoe therapy
- Loco-Regional Hyperthermia
Areas of Focus: Dr. Beatty focuses on:
- Supportive care during chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery
- Wellbeing and quality of life through active treatment
- Nutritional and dietary support for patients undergoing cancer care
- Safe, coordinated use of natural medicine alongside conventional treatment
- Prevention and risk-reduction strategies
- Survivorship and recovery support
Working Together: Dr. Beatty welcomes patients at any stage of their cancer journey and is glad to coordinate with your existing medical and oncology team. Her practice is open to all and requires no referral.
Personal Life: Outside of her professional life, Dr. Beatty is deeply rooted in her Winnipeg community, where she lives with her husband and three children. An advocate for living in harmony with nature, she enjoys gardening, crafting natural soaps, and spending time outdoors. She is also an enthusiastic beginner tennis player and encourages everyone to take up a new sport, no matter their age or athletic ability.
